  5. This program is a (hopefully) useful utility to convert between various
  6. things. It derives from the previously released !AngleConv (1.03) and
  7. !BaseConv (1.03).
  8.  
  9. When the program has loaded, select 'Angle', 'Base' or 'SWI' from the
  10. icon-bar menu...
  11.  
  12. Angle: Type the number you wish to convert into the relevant box and press
  13. Return. Unfortunately some inaccuracies can arise, especially when
  14. converting to and from radians (due to finite accuracy (shame...))
  15.  
  16. Base: Simply type the number you wish to convert into the relevent box,
  17. and press Return. You can convert to and from any base you want, using the
  18. box on the last line. Just type a new base (from 2 to 36) into the 'Base'
  19. box and press Return. Conversions are entirely unsigned - so numbers range
  20. from 0 to 4294967295.

  22. SWI: This converts between SWI names and numbers. Tpe the number/name you
  23. wish to convert into the relevent box, and press Return.

  27. 3D templates
  28. ------------

  30. This release only contains 3D-style templates, so it only works completely
  31. right in RISC OS 3.10 or later. It should, however, still work OK in RISC
  32. OS 2, but the writable icons may look too big. I'm sorry about this, but I
  33. found developing two sets of virtually identical templates too much of a
  34. pain. If you don't like this, then tell me!

  38. Hi-res sprites

  41. If you are in a high-res mode (i.e. 1:1 pixel aspect ratio) when the
  42. program starts, it will load high-resolution versions of the sprites which
  43. it uses. As I can't use all screen modes (I only have a VGA monitor) and I
  44. haven't tested it with third-party screen modes (such as those provided by
  45. whizzy graphics cards) I can't guarantee that this works with your set-up.
  46. If it doesn't, then please let me know, and tell me what screen mode(s)
  47. you are using, so I can figure something out.

  54. Well, this program is "Freeware". As far as I am concerned, this means
  55. that you can distribute it to anyone and everyone, PROVIDING that all
  56. files within the !Converter directory are included, and they are in their
  57. original form.

  60. suggestions to me (see below) rather than distributing them all over the
  61. place, as this can lead to large amounts of confusion.
